Description We are looking for an experienced part time Accountant for a non profit organization in Alhambra. This part-time Accountant position offers flexible scheduling options, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking a balanced work-life arrangement. The role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial processes while contributing to the development of operational policies and procedures. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. - Verify and reconcile journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data. - Prepare detailed procedural statements to support operational workflows. - Assist in the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes. - Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial operations. - Conduct audits of financial data to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. - Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate financial records. - Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve system functionality. - Provide insights and recommendations to optimize accounting processes and reporting. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and receivable. - Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms. - Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. - Experience in auditing processes and financial data reconciliation. - Ability to prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
