The Analyst I is part of a team that provides business analysis and support services to the Record Management Branch. The Analyst I serves as a subject matter expert on the entire arrest and disposition lifecycle and assists on a broad range of governmental and managerial problems associated with maintaining the state criminal history repository. The Analyst I provides assistance on all analysis, training, outreach, and support services related to the branch and the processes, procedures, and practices associated with collecting, processing, maintaining, and storing criminal history information.

The Analyst I assists with performing and analyzing studies and surveys; drafts policies and procedures; and develops training materials for internal and external stakeholders. The Analyst I assists with assignments and special projects such as workload analysis, procedure and legal mandate review, legislative review, and administrative support.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
