Full-time Auditor (Public Accounting, Bilingual Japanese)Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Auditor with proficiency in public accounting and bilingual fluency in Japanese and English. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 15 years of work experience in the field of auditing and public accounting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including Japanese companies operating internationally and multinational corporations with significant operations in Japan.

• Conduct financial audits for clients across various industries, with a focus on Japanese and international companies
• Plan and execute audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and firm policies
• Analyze financial statements, accounting records, and internal control systems to ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles and regulations
• Identify and communicate audit findings, including potential risks and areas for improvement, to clients and senior management
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to clients in both Japanese and English
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of audit engagements
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations in both Japan and internationally
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development
• Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters
• Participate in business development activities and contribute to the firm's growth strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-15 years of experience in public accounting and auditing
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or equivalent (highly preferred)
• Fluent in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in audit methodologies and risk assessment techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software

• Master's degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with Japanese Accounting Standards (J-GAAP)
• Familiarity with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in auditing publicly traded companies
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques
