Job Description
D.C. United Brand Ambassador represents D.C. United across a variety of grassroots initiatives as one of the most outwardly facing members of our Black-and-Red community. Through active fan engagement, a Brand Ambassador helps provide memorable experiences to D.C. United supporters at all home games and in the community. These events include but are not limited to; D.C. United home matches at Audi Field, special events around the DMV, watch parties, partner appearances, and festivals and celebrations to name a few. Brand Ambassadors represent and promote D.C. United at regular events with the goal of enhancing the fan experience and growing the Black-and-Red family through positive, energetic fan interaction and grassroots marketing efforts. This is a part-time employment opportunity.
COMPENSATION
$18/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with event attendees in a fun, approachable and professional fashion. Fan engagement may include distributing giveaways, answering questions about D.C. United and Audi Field, and providing an overall memorable experience for each patron.
Help with ideation for current and potential marketing activations, as well as assisting in planning and implementation of activations.
Support both on and off-site events including game nights and special events to promote D.C. United.
Support sales staff by feeding leads and encouraging fan engagement in promotions.
Prepare for potential careers in marketing, ticket sales, business development and/or other departments.
Ability to practice face to face engagements and add tangible results to your resume.
Assist with other tasks assigned by Marketing Manager/Coordinator.
Demonstrate knowledge and a strong passion for D.C. United.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to work in outdoor conditions.
Flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on season schedule.
Prior customer service, promotions, or event experience preferred.
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with strong communication skills.
An interest in sports marketing, sales, or events is a plus.
Comfortable approaching and engaging with fans of all ages.
WHAT WE OFFER
Hands-on experience within professional sports marketing.
Opportunity to represent a Major League Soccer (MLS) club at high-visibility events.
Development of fan engagement, grassroots outreach, and sales support skills.
Networking and mentorship opportunities within the marketing and sales staff.
The ideal candidates will reside locally and can begin work immediately. This opportunity is anticipated to last up to one year and may be extended to a longer term upon mutual agreement.
Availability to work a majority of home games during the 2026 D.C. United season.
Organized with the ability to multi-task and effectively solve problems in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player and enjoy working in a team environment.
Possess excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Must be dependable, willing to take initiative and adapt to a variety of situations.
Sports Management / Marketing or Communications majors preferred.
Passionate about D.C. United and/or have a willingness to learn about the organization.
Represents the club with integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
Takes the proactive steps to assist fans, support activations, and suggest improvements.
