POSITION SUMMARY: As a CDL B Collection Driver, you will play a vital role in providing efficient and safe waste removal services for our valued customers. Your primary responsibility includes operating a collection truck while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations. You will also be tasked with completing vehicle condition reports to maintain optimal vehicle performance.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety equipment and controls are in proper working order and reporting any issues accordingly.
• Safely navigate your designated route, providing timely waste collection services to customers as per the assigned schedule.
• Effectively use manual and automatic controls to manage lifting and loading of refuse, ensuring safe disposal at the designated facility.
• Engage professionally with customers and colleagues, fostering courteous interactions to enhance service experiences.
• Identify and address unsatisfactory waste containers, tagging them in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor waste for any unacceptable materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness around the vehicle and promptly clean any accidental waste spills, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle operationally ready at all times by monitoring its condition and performing regular cleaning of refuse from the truck.
• Complete necessary documentation including route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports as required.
• Adhere to productivity standards, ensuring all customers are serviced in an efficient manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures meticulously.
• Participate actively in the Company's ReSOP program, contributing to overall operational excellence.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills, ensuring a professional and cooperative approach in all interactions.
• Utilize effective time management to ensure all responsibilities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate good follow-through on tasks and commitments while maintaining a responsible work schedule.
• Promote adherence to Company rules and policies, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
