Job Summary

The City of Peachtree Corners is hiring a full-time Economic Development Coordinator  to help drive growth and innovation in one of metro Atlanta’s most forward-thinking cities. As part of a lean and dynamic team, you will work directly with the Economic Development Director and alongside the City Manager’s Office on impactful projects that support business attraction, retention, and expansion.

You’ll be a key connector — maintaining relationships with the business community, supporting new initiatives, helping coordinate events and programs, and advancing Peachtree Corners’ reputation as a top-tier destination for innovation, investment, and quality of life.

Key Focus Areas

  • Business Support & Outreach : Assist in planning and executing recruitment and retention strategies for new and existing businesses. Regularly engage with business owners, developers, brokers, and regional partners to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Marketing & Communications : Coordinate monthly business newsletters, help manage economic development social media content, and contribute to marketing campaigns that position the City for strategic growth.
  • Data & CRM Management : Maintain up-to-date records of business prospects, available sites, and key contacts. Support research for site selection, industry trends, and property availability.
  • Project & Event Coordination : Support special projects such as grant initiatives, filming requests, community events, and redevelopment efforts. Provide logistical and communication support as needed.
  • Liaison & Internal Collaboration : Serve as a bridge between the Economic Development Department and other city departments, authorities (Downtown Development Authority, Redevelopment Authority), and key stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are organized, detail-oriented, and naturally collaborative. You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects, interacting with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to both day-to-day tasks and big-picture strategies. You’re a strong writer, an effective communicator, and someone who takes pride in supporting a growing city.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in economic development, business, marketing, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in local government, planning, real estate, economic development, or business engagement
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing tools, CRM systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of zoning, infrastructure, and land use is a plus
  • Ability to attend occasional evening events or weekend activities
