Wage: Depends on position...Foreman $28-$35 per hour and crew, depending on experience, $18-$22 per hour
Job Summary: The Concrete Foreman collaborates with the Design Team, Construction Manager, Excavation Foreman, and customers to ensure the successful completion of pool coping and decking projects as designed and desired.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan Execution: Thoroughly read and execute concrete layout and installation plans.
• Subgrade Preparation: Ensure stable subgrade during backfill and final grading for suitable concrete installation.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with the project team, customers, and supervisors to ensure smooth project progression.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies, promoting a safety culture.
• Crew Supervision: Oversee and direct crew members in all aspects of concrete pool and spa construction.
• Project Outlook: Maintain a five-day outlook of ongoing jobs.
• Scheduling Coordination: Interact daily with the Construction Foreman/Project Manager regarding scheduling.
• Scope Understanding: Understand the entire scope of contracted concrete work.
• Addendum Facilitation: Manage any addendums not included in the contract.
• Team Building: Teach crew members to work constructively as a team and maintain a positive work environment.
• Drainage Implementation: Navigate and implement necessary drainage on all projects.
• Machinery Maintenance: Oversee onsite maintenance of machinery and schedule regular service as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Plan Reading: Ability to read and understand construction plans.
• Project Management: Ability to evaluate and maintain project schedules and job costs.
• Construction Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of construction standards and specifications.
• Safety Dedication: Strong commitment to safety for both crews and the public.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with project supervisors, inspectors, the public, project team, and homeowners.
• Resource Monitoring: Monitor quantities used and relay information to the project team.
• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and confident in managing the entire project management and construction function.
Concrete Crew:
Previous experience setting forms, pouring, and finishing required
