This position performs warehouse/material distribution tasks relative to the receiving and shipment of product. Moves inventory by operating a forklift. Duties include unloading inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.), loading outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.), locating and retrieving products as well as replenishing picking locations using FEFO methodology, moving pallets on dock, and possibly physically stacking/transporting product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock. Ensures all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures. Maintains an acceptable work area as in GMPs and follows Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP. Must prioritize safety and maintain safe working conditions to prevent injuries and illnesses. Additional responsibilities include performing warehouse associate duties, training new hires on RF functions, and maintaining regular and reliable attendance. Safety shoes are required. Qualifications include a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience with at least 1 year of relevant experience, 1 year minimum experience with material handling equipment (forklifts) like Reach Trucks, certification/licensing to operate material handling equipment, and minimum 1 year experience using an RF scanner. Skills required include ability to work Tues - Sat, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, ability to read and interpret distribution documents, work under minimal direction, proficiency in performance measurement environments, concentration and alertness, teamwork, safe operation of MHE, good verbal communication, basic math skills, problem-solving, and adaptability. Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting (sometimes over 50 lbs), and repetitive wrist/hand motions. Work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, extreme weather, fumes/airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise.
