The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Chef to our corporate dining team at Mitre! As a Chef, you will have the opportunity to supervise and participate in the preparation of meals for a high-volume, corporate dining account in McLean, VA.

This is a hands-on, working chef role in our corporate dining account Mitre. Monday-Friday operation, no weekends, very few nights, weekly pay, growth opportunities & more!

What you'll be doing:

  • This role is very hands-on; 75% of time will be spent in the kitchen. About 25% of time will be ordering & menu development.
  • Planning, organizing, and supervising culinary operations of retail and catering services.
  • Planning menus based on various factors, such as market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.
  • Conferring with district managers or other departments regarding daily aspects of dining service.
  • Directing and coordinating the work of kitchen staff.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • Certification by a recognized culinary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High-volume, corporate dining experience.
  • At least three years experience in culinary management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Compensation:

$65-70,000/year
