My business partner and I aren’t wealthy. We didn’t inherit a recruiting firm—we built Mission Recruiting from scratch in 2013 with almost nothing. Over the years, we’ve created something we’re proud of: a national legal recruiting company with returning clients, proven systems, and a great core team.
But we’ve also learned some tough lessons. Too many recruiters say they’re hungry, then give us the bare minimum. That doesn’t work anymore—for us or them.
So, we launched our 1099 program . No salary. No hand-holding. Just a chance to earn big commissions, work on your schedule, and plug into a company with real jobs, tools, and infrastructure. And it’s working.
Who This Is For: This is for experienced recruiters who know what it takes to close deals and want more freedom and reward for their effort.
Ideally, our candidates will reside in the following states:
You'll need:
Strong agency recruiting experience , preferably in direct hire
A hunter’s mindset and comfort level when calling passive candidates
At least 20 hours a week —any less and you’ll struggle to build momentum
A good computer, strong internet , and ideally dual monitors
Experience in legal recruiting is ideal, but legal experience as a paralegal, attorney, or legal assistant is also very helpful
This is not for high-volume recruiters or those with only HR backgrounds—we don’t onboard candidates, we place them
