PC Technician

Provide essential technical support for both shop floor and office personnel, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and connectivity systems. This role involves the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, as well as managing user accounts and permissions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support for shop floor and office personnel, both remotely and on-site.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Provide priority support to manufacturing applications and equipment.
• Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, tablets, and other IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions in Active Directory and other business systems.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of printers, label makers, and specialized equipment in the shop.
• Ensure proper follow-up, resolution, and documentation of IT tickets.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of laptops, desktops, monitors, and accessories.
• Help create, maintain, and update documentation for IT processes and activities.
• Escalate more complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support as needed.
• Provide training and support for common business applications such as Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies, including data protection and access control.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs or installations when necessary.

Essential Skills:

• 02 years of experience in IT support or help desk role.
• Basic understanding of Windows environments and IT hardware.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hands-on environment.
• Willingness to occasionally move or lift IT equipment (up to 50 pounds).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in IT or a related field preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP, or similar certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM for deploying standard Microsoft Windows images, including PXE Booting and the use of USB Bootable Media.

Work Environment:

Work in a regulated environment with opportunities to engage in voluntary work on Saturdays. The work setting is dynamic and provides exposure to various IT systems and technologies.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
