State & Local Tax (SALT) Manager | Remote (Baltimore / DC / East Coast Preferred)

$115K$140K base + ~1520% bonus

Were partnering with a national company to hire a SALT Tax Manager to lead their state income tax compliance and planning function . This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, well-known organization with a lean, collaborative tax team and strong leadership.

What youll do:

Own SALT compliance and planning across multiple entities

Serve as the go-to person for all state income/franchise tax matters

Lead and mentor 2 direct reports

Interface regularly with federal tax and accounting teams

Provide guidance on audits, notices, nexus reviews, and tax strategy

You might be a fit if you:

Bring 10+ years of SALT experience , ideally with recent in-house or corporate tax background

Are confident handling complex multi-state issues

Enjoy both hands-on technical work and coaching others

Live in the Baltimore/DC area (preferred), or are open to remote with occasional travel

Are looking for long-term stability and growth in a mission-driven environment
