Job Description:

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER SENIOR

• Responsible for enterprise cyber engineering and support for large global enterprise system.

• Uses security tools to monitor, investigate, and identify anomalous events that are detected by security devices or reported to the SOC from external entities, Government leads, system administrators, and the user community.

• Responds to IDS/IPS alerts.

• Tunes the SIEM and IDS/IPS events to minimize false positives.

• Implements custom detection content; applies various antivirus, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessment tools, techniques, and procedures including maintaining policy signature enforcement, custom signature, signature modification, performance profiling, and sensor deployment.

• Performs and documents risk assessment analysis for access requests and analyzes Information System Security (ISS) reports.

• Performs work under supervision, as necessary.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience

• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility

• Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; CEH or Cloud+ or CySA+ or PenTest+ or SSCP

• Location: Offutt AFB, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $96,034 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
