The Zaxbys Support Center is looking for a Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications to join the Corporate Communications team. The Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications will build and execute communications strategies that inform and engage the Zaxbys Support Center and the Zaxbys corporate/franchisee system.

The Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications plays a key role in aligning communications strategies with business goals and initiatives, ensuring that messaging is clear, engaging and tailored to the audience. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to craft internal communications that enhance transparency, reinforce culture, and promote engagement across all levels of the organization. He or she will manage day-to-day communications planning and execution while guiding a small internal communications team in producing compelling, timely content. Strong writing and storytelling skills, project management experience, and an innovative mindset are desired.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA area and allows for a hybrid work schedule that includes 3 in-office days per week.

Essential Job Functions

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement and manage strategic communications plans that align with and support key company, department, and function initiatives and goals
  • Assist in developing and managing multi-channel internal platforms and content strategies
  • Oversee internal communications compliance processes
  • Oversee updates and compliance of the internal brand voice/tone style guide
  • Analyze regular communications audits, track KPIs, and use results to better develop strategies
  • Day-to-day project management of platforms and vendors to include project timelines, proposals, and initial engagement contracts for enterprise-wide solutions
  • Supports conference and event messaging, communication planning, and deliverables
  • Review and consult on press releases and/or external media outreach materials or programs as needed
  • Provide support for crisis communications
  • Exhibit strong business acumen, including the ability to understand and relay complex information in an engaging way, interact effectively with all levels of the organization, and formulate and present ideas and information, clearly and concisely

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in digital, print, and social media
  • Advanced understanding of communications strategies, theories, and channels
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and employees at all levels
  • Experience managing agencies and/or vendors on multiple projects at once
  • Proven internal communications and change management experience
  • Solution-driven, creative, curious, organized, tech-savvy
  • Well-versed in creative principles and software programs
  • Knowledge of analytics programs, tools and reports
  • Previous work in website design and/or end user experience a plus
  • Video and photography experience a plus

Education And Experience Guidelines

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Communications or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience developing, managing and implementing strategic communications programs, preferably at a mid-to-large sized company, digital media agency or equivalent
