Provides arts instructional guidance to elementary students from pre-kindergarten to sixth grade (PK-6) in the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Program. Assists in implementing the VAPA programs standards across disciplines such as visual arts, digital arts, music, drama, and dance.

Various opportunities exist for permanent, on-call, or long-term substitute assignments. An eligibility list will be used to fill both types based on district needs. All positions are part-time, 9.25 months per year, 3 to 6.5 hours daily. Permanent positions are Monday through Friday and include full benefits for the employee only. Positions may be located anywhere within district boundaries (Glendale, La Crescenta, Montrose).
Substitute employees are paid a fixed hourly rate. Permanent employees may earn higher rates after completing a 130-day probationary period and may receive annual merit increases up to the maximum.
