About us: Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide.
Since 2011, our affiliate, Yamasho Atlanta Inc. takes pride in providing a variety of restaurant items ranging from non-food to dry and frozen food products to our restaurant customers in its current location in Chamblee, GA. Location : Chamblee, GA
Hours: Sun: 2PM - 11PM
; Mon-Thu: 12PM - 9PM
; 1hr lunch; OT may apply
Essential Job Functions - Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely assembling
- Support deliveries as a backup delivery driver
- Document, record, and complete driver log when making deliveries
- Stack and organize warehouse pallets
- Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner
- Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers
- Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings
- Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
- Coordinate semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
- Other duties as required from manager
- Obligation to answer to all management as requested
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to handle and move 50+ pounds assisted frequently
- Ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time
- Working Conditions
- Noise Level: Loud while indoors
- Required to wear insulated freezer suit while in freezer
- Freezing temperatures between -10 and -28 degrees Fahrenheit
Other Requirements - Basic level English - Read/write/speak/listen
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed
- Must be able to drive a stand-up reach forklift and sit-down forklift
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in workload
- High School Diploma required
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills - Basic mathematical knowledge - combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, weight, etc.
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Japanese foods preferred
