Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience DRIVER HELPER to join their growing team in Norfolk, Nebraska. This physically demanding job involves operating on and around a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste, reading route sheets, loading and unloading refuse, operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities, and courteous interaction with customers. The position typically requires working Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, often exceeding 50 hours per week. The job requires extensive physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds, and working in conditions exposed to weather, fumes, vibration, and noise. Minimum requirements include the ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and perform the physical duties of the position.
